I am skeptical of the “AI caused crypto layoffs” framing. Maybe AI is part of it at the margin. Every company is trying to look leaner, faster, and more automated right now. But if a crypto firm is laying people off in 2026, my first assumption is not that the robots showed up and ate the org chart.
