Wow, this week was brutal for the price of bitcoin. Yesterday was the steepest one-day decline since the FTX fraud was uncovered in 2022. It was incredible (and painful) to watch. Just like 2022, nothing about the bitcoin thesis has changed, so to me it looks like a wonderful buying opportunity. If you recall, bitcoin bottomed in November of 2022 around $16K. By the following November it was up over 100% and never looked back. I have no idea why bitcoin sold off this week, but found this highly speculative educated guess quite interesting.
